Olya is a lifelong painter, and has built her work and perspective through her modern nomadic living experience. For a span of nearly four years, her experience in Rome, Italy has shifted her painting practice to new levels. She has participated in group shows in Rome such as Ab Ovo, All´origine della forma at Scuderie Aldobrandini Museum, Il Margutta Art Gallery, and I She participated with Electronic Art Cafè, a touring art project which consists of events and exhibitions by artists of international avant-garde, curated by Achille Bonito Oliva and Umberto Scrocca. Her current painting practice is an integral part of her work where she utilizes technology and cultural identity.
